As a Staff Android Engineer, you will own the architecture and delivery of a seamless experience for millions of Android users internationally. Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and maintain the patterns and frameworks that power localized experiences on Reddit’s official Android app.
• Provide foundational engineering leadership in localization-related initiatives.
• Partner across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions to complex challenges.
• Spearhead the full Android development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy.

What We Can Expect From You:

• Ownership of pivotal relationships, planning, goal setting, and execution for the Android engineering pillar for i18n.
• Thought leadership and evangelism for Reddit’s internationalization initiatives both inside and outside the company.
• Fluency in Java or Kotlin and 8+ years of Android development experience.
