YOUR MISSION

As a Canvas Performance Engineer you will work on tools and methodologies to help the engineers that build MURAL measure, monitor and improve the performance of the product. You are passionate about performance metrics, including but not limited to FPS, lag, input lag, Memory and CPU usage. You may have even spent countless hours of your life fine tuning game and graphics cards parameters to get Crysis running in a Pentium machine. You really know your way around the browser’s developer tools.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, enhance and improve Performance and Telemetry tools
  • Study, identify and improve performance bottlenecks
  • Understand our engineers’ needs and pain points and solve them
  • Lead complex programming tasks and provide code reviews of various development tasks
  • Hack through your ideas. Generate as many POCs as possible.
  • Provide analysis of problems and recommend solutions
  • Implement automated unit, behavioral and integration tests and ensure the practice is followed consistently
  • Be part of every tech design you wish, we are open to everyone
  • Participate in system design and specifications, program logic and flow-charting, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and support

YOUR PROFILE

  • A MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or 5 years of proven experience in similar work 
  • 3+ years of experience developing or working on highly interactive browser based graphical applications
  • Strong technical skills and relevant experience with Javascript development (bonus: Typescript experience)
  • Hands on development of graphical applications, services or games
