Title: Staff Fullstack Software Engineer

Location: Palo Alto, CA

You are passionate about creating delightful user experiences that meet both our customers’ and business’ needs. You love to solve problems by breaking them down into incremental improvements. You work best when collaborating with others. You find value in helping your fellow engineers to grow and mature as they follow your lead.

What You’ll do:

• Evolve our software applications into scalable, mature products
• Establish best practices within our frontend code bases
• Build customer-facing experiences that demystify the insurance buying process
• Mentor other software engineers that you collaborate with daily

Must Haves:

• Experience designing and building modern web applications
• Mastery of at least one modern web framework such as React
• An appreciation for customer-centric solutions where success is defined by business impact
• An understanding of API patterns
• A desire to learn and grow, both technically and as a whole person

Bonus:

• Expertise with React, Typescript, and GraphQL
• Know how to work with databases and how to design database schemas
