YOUR MISSION

As a Staff QA Engineer, you will grow our business by maintaining the quality standards of our product by providing metrics and defining KPIs for one of our internal development pillars. You will be part of our QA team where you’ll learn about the technical aspect of our platform. You will work with core components such as authentication, integrations, along with billing and product metrics.

In this role you will:

  • Analyze, report, and document issues found applying QA best practices
  • Understand the development process and coordinate work with your team accordingly
  • Maintain our testing framework and help shape our quality practices
  • Define and measure KPIs in coordination with Engineering Managers and Tech Leads
  • Report results of said KPIs
  • Be accountable for the quality provided within your team and escalate critical issues and bottlenecks
  • Work closely with the Quality Ops Lead to advise on the quality perspective and pain  points/bottlenecks
  • Generate metrics that allow us to monitor the health status of the product
  • Help maintaining and adjusting QA processes to ensure quality is not compromised and development/delivery is not halted
  • Participe in high level meetings to help define teams’ scopes and roadmaps
  • Implement known QA procedures on a Product department level and help teams to adapt said procedures
  • Hire, coach and help grow QA Automation Engineers within the pillar

YOUR PROFILE

Top candidates will bring experience working with applications written almost completely in Javascript, with a focus on either automation or product consultancy.

  • You have at least 8 years of experience in automation
  • You pay close attention to detail
  • You have a process-oriented mindset
  • You have the ability to work independently from a remote location
  • You have an excellent command of English, both written and verbal
  • You have knowledge of software development life cycle and bug life cycle
  • You have knowledge of Behavior Driven Development Agile processes
  • You have knowledge in JavaScript or similar programming languages
  • You have knowledge of Cucumber, Selenium, Appium or Jmeter.
  • You have knowledge of bug triaging, Agile methodologies, SCRUM practices and QA effort estimations
  • You have knowledge about product development (both backend and frontend) and CX
  • You have experience leading/coaching QA Automation Engineers

Preferable skills: 

  • You have had a Computer Science or UX-related career
  • You have Github knowledge
  • You are familiar with UX and analysis on other SaaS products
  • You have knowledge in JavaScript or similar programming languages
