YOUR MISSION

MURAL’s partnerships create opportunities for organizations to engage more deeply and seamlessly with the technology they already have in place. As a Staff Software Engineer in Integrations, you will focus on growing strategic partnerships through API and feature driven work that will help us expand globally.

This role is under our Platform Pillar and reports to the Engineering Manager of this team.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership to your engineering team, including technical direction setting, coaching, architectural mentorship, and interviewing engineering candidates
  • Collaborate with external companies and highly strategic partners, driving toward solutions that create a positive feedback loop of user engagement.
  • Lead highly complex programming tasks and provide code reviews for your team
  • Enjoy the freedom of debugging and possess the flexibility of an open mindset
  • Design extremely reliable and well-tested integrations that engineering teams around the world use every day
  • Build a culture of shipping great products
  • Be accountable for, and take ownership of your product
  • Work remotely with a diverse and globally distributed team

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 3 years experience in a technical leadership position (staff level or equivalent, leadership capabilities – e.g. technical lead of a project or a team)
  • Strong technical communication skills (diagramming, documentation etc.)
  • Production experience in relevant tech: Javascript, Node.js, React (bonus: Typescript experience)
  • Experience writing automated testing and/or familiarity with Gherkin, Cucumber, Jest, or other React testing library
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Customer-service mindset, and system-level understanding of how platforms interact with each other
  • You can provide analysis of complex problems and recommend solutions
  • You have an excellent command of English, both written and verbal
