Technical Marketing Engineer, Cellular
In this role, you will be the technical owner responsible for the success of Cisco Meraki cellular certification strategy. This is a dynamic position, where you will collaborate with various teams including, Engineering, Support and external parties. As a trusted advisor, you will be a part of a fun and upbeat team constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible!
Responsibilities:
- Be the primary technical contact for cellular certification related activities
- Work with cellular service provider labs and accredited test labs to support carrier certification of Meraki Cellular products
- Provide guidance on cellular technologies as the domain expert for all teams at Meraki
- Work with cross-team collaborators to align compliance and carrier certification timelines for new and existing platforms
- Travel domestically and internationally to support cellular related projects up to 25% of the time
- Liaise between Support and Engineering to validate and assist in resolving cellular related bugs and critical issues
- Author and update collateral (e.g. feature documentation, SE FAQs, Cisco product integration collateral)
- Contribute to PRD and beta program management
- Build training materials for internal and external consumption
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of enterprise networking knowledge with a background in solving sophisticated issues
- Understanding of the specifics of cellular technologies and certification processes
- Experience with carrier certification onboarding, documentation, scheduling, and waiver write ups for various global carriers
- Performed cellular certification for device(s) with various carriers across the world, like Verizon, AT&T, Telstra, NTT DoCoMo etc
- Experience working with multi-functional teams and leading multiple external partners
- Clear communicator and teammate with the ability to simplify technical concepts
- Patience and persistence in the face of complicated situations
- Exceptionally organized and thorough
- Passionate about new technologies and willing to creatively solve problems
Bonus:
- 1+ years of experience performing 5G and 4G cellular certification across multiple carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Telstra, etc.)
- Experience with cellular standards (3GPP) and ETSI
- Familiar with international regulatory standards and type approval processes (FCC, EU/CE/RED, PTCRB, GCF, Anatel, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
