About the Team

Sentry’s design team helps define and shape the experience of over 1 million developers. We’re looking for a UI Engineer who’s passionate about crafting delightful and consistent product experiences at a massive scale.

Sentry is open source software and the work you do will be publicly available as a model for others to follow. If you are a frontend developer with an eye for design who wants to positively impact the productivity of the developer ecosystem, this role is for you.

As our first UI Engineer on the design team, you will

• Be instrumental in maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout our products
• Deep dive on details, creating delightful interfaces through macro and micro interactions
• Help define systems to enable our design and frontend teams to be more efficient and collaborative
• Contribute to our component library and design documentation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant frontend development experience
• Experience maintaining or contributing to an in-house component library or design system
• Experience with React or other Javascript frameworks
• Familiarity with CSS-in-JS libraries like Styled Components or Emotion
• Impeccable taste and knack for attention to detail
• Experience with Figma, Sketch, Framer, or other modern design tools
• A portfolio or live examples of your work that showcase your abilities 

Bonus (optional) skills:

• An active GitHub profile and/or contributions to open source projects
• Experience with SVG, specifically for data visualization
• TypeScript!
