Xpring is Ripple’s developer platform for payments. We design and build and participate in open networks to democratize the world of payments and help money move as easily as data does today through technologies such as Interledger and XRP Ledger.

Xpring is seeking a VP of Developer Relations who will serve as a member of Xpring’s leadership team to lead the team responsible for building a robust, global developer ecosystem through advocacy and relationship management.

As the leader of our Developer Relations team, you’ll establish strong relationships with developers around the world in a scalable way by crafting great resources to help developers build with Xpring, including samples, blog posts, and documentation. You’ll foster developers communities, championing their interests and translating their feedback into actionable product insights.

Our Developer Relations team works with the largest developer audience possible. We are engineers and storytellers, representing Xpring to developer communities all around the world and inspiring new and existing users to build on top of the Xpring platform.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Recruit and manage a team of technically sophisticated Developer Advocates to drive Xpring’s developer experience goals.
  • Work in close collaboration with our technical writing and developer marketing teams to produce content for Xpring’s developer audience.
  • Establish and drive key metrics to measure the success of our developer content and outreach initiatives.
  • Work in close collaboration with our Xpring product engineering team that builds our developer facing tooling.
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities to grow our developer community.

WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related technical field.
  • Experience managing a DevRel organization for a successful platform.
  • Deep understanding of developer strategy and platform needs.
  • Ability to partner with executive leadership across engineering, product and marketing organizations.
  • 15+ years of experience with at least 7 years experience as a manager having successfully built a team, defined its mission and helped to achieve its goals.
  • Successfully recruited and retained great people to your team.
  • Passionate about developer tools, technologies, and content.
  • Comfort planning in quarters and halves, while also working with a team to set a vision that is multiple years out.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different expertise.
