Our Company
Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.
We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

At Adobe, creativity depends on clarity. Our platform powers creative web applications like Adobe Express, where millions of users build, design, and share. Behind every feature are teams of engineers—and this role is about helping them do their best work.

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager with 3–5 years of leadership experience to guide our Developer Experience group. Your mission is to reduce friction, improve collaboration, and ensure developers have the tools, practices, and clarity they need to build extraordinary products at scale.

What you’ll do
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team focused on improving the developer journey.

  • Own and evolve the roadmap for tools and practices that make planning, code review, and collaboration effortless.

  • Establish best practices for working across large, distributed codebases, ensuring consistency and quality at scale.

  • Build systems that make information—documentation, design history, ownership—accessible and actionable.

  • Apply AI to streamline workflows: code review augmentation, intelligent documentation and search, and emerging developer-centric tools.

  • Partner with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to align developer tooling with business and product goals.

  • Define and track success metrics—cycle time, adoption rates, satisfaction—so we know what’s working and where to improve.

  • Evangelize new practices with clarity and energy, inspiring adoption across a global engineering organization.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • 3–5 years of experience managing engineering teams, with a proven record of impact.
  • A strong foundation in developer platforms, large-scale collaboration practices, or productivity tooling.

  • Demonstrated success applying AI to developer workflows, from automated code review to knowledge-sharing tools.

  • Experience balancing the speed of startups with the structure of large organizations.

  • Empathy for developers as internal customers, paired with the communication skills to build trust and inspire change.

  • A track record of delivering tools and systems that are reliable, performant, and easy to adopt.

Why this role matters

Great developer experience is more than tools—it’s how developers work together. In this role, you’ll reduce friction, improve collaboration, and use AI to multiply the effectiveness of engineering teams building creative web applications like Adobe Express. By shaping how developers plan, code, and communicate, you’ll have an outsized impact on both our products and the millions of users who depend on them.
