You will participate directly in software design and engineering, help develop the team by mentoring and coaching, and create processes that ensure productivity and efficiency. This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Manage and build a high-performance team of dynamic and talented engineers, engineering leads, and engineering managers to create world-class mobile educational experiences
- Enable efficient delivery of invaluable iOS and Android applications supporting educators in the ever-evolving education landscape
- Drive technical excellence across teams, elevating skills and practices from design to release
- Empower and motivate the team, fostering enthusiasm, growth, and professional development
- Illuminate the company's vision, mission, and values, instilling a deep sense of purpose and direction in each team member
- Collaborate seamlessly with the broader development team, prioritizing work and spearheading initiatives for outstanding results
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering and 5+ years leadership experience
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline
- Expert level skills in iOS and/or Android development
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Passion for coaching and developing people
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Passion for improving education through technology
- Experience with SwiftUI is a plus
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $220,000 + equity + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
