The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an SRE Manager to lead our Infrastructure Team. This role will be hands-on as we build out an SRE team at Superhuman and involve all phases of the SRE lifecycle, from planning to incident management.

Superhuman’s engineers and researchers can innovate and uncover breakthroughs—and, in turn, influence our product roadmap. The complexity of our technical challenges is growing rapidly as we scale our interfaces, algorithms, and infrastructure. You can hear more from our team on our technical blog.

As an Engineering Manager, SRE, you will

  • Grow the existing team by hiring people.
  • Develop plans to support Superhuman’s roadmap and scale our cloud infrastructure to keep pace with the load.
  • Coordinate with all engineering teams to provide them with the services needed to run their systems.
  • Provide support and visibility for enterprise customers via SLOs and incident reports.
Qualifications
  • Has 5+ years of experience as an SRE and 2+ years of experience managing a team of SREs and DevOps.
  • Familiar with at least one of AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Support incidents as an Incident Commander.
  • Familiar with the SRE software lifecycle.
  • Experience managing people remotely.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or another equivalent container management system.
  • Willing to get our hands dirty in scaling our software stack.
  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments

Superhuman offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package encompassing the following and more:

  • Excellent health care (including a wide range of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and fertility benefits)

  • Generous stipends (including those for caregiving, pet care, wellness, your home office, and more)
  • Annual professional development budget and opportunities

Superhuman takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.
