Who are we looking for?

Merge is looking for a driven Engineering Manager to manage our automation engineering team. Our automation engineering team powers the process of integration building at Merge, developing advanced tools to simplify the development, testing and monitoring of Merge’s core integration product. Whether that is developing no-code tools for integration design, or building data-intensive systems to catch anomalous behavior, the team ensures that Merge builds feature-rich, high quality integrations.

What you will do:

  • Own and manage one of our core engineering teams of 6, creating a culture of quality, excellence, and growth
  • Grow the team through hiring and internal career development
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, finance, leadership, and other teams to execute company goals
  • Built and grow the roadmap for your team while considering strategic direction, resource allocation, and organizational alignment, and more

The Ideal candidate will have: 

  • 2 - 4+ years experience managing and hiring engineers, having been and individual contributor engineer prior
  • Experience managing a high-performance team of both junior and senior talent in fast paced, startup-like environments
  • Familiarity with technologies, programming languages, and frameworks, such as Django, Python, React, Postgres, SQL, AWS, RDS, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience planning team roadmaps and goals as a product-minded engineering leader
  • Ability to balance priorities, tradeoffs, and cross-functional initiatives working closely with product, finance, engineering and other organizational departments to drive successful business outcomes

Compensation

  • The cash compensation range for this role is $200,000-$230,000
  • Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all employees receive an equity compensation package.
