About B GARAGE

B GARAGE was founded in 2017 by a Ph.D. graduate from Stanford University. Mission of the Role:

In the future, drones will be utilized across various industries and become an essential part of our daily lives. Our goal is to change people's perception of drones and expand the horizons of drone applications. We are looking for a Field Engineer to join our team as a key player in driving deployment and operation excellence. For this role, you will be helping with drone design, hardware repairs and enhancements, Hardware lab management, supporting the Field Robotics Engineers, collaborating closely with hardware/software teams to understand project requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for successful timely hardware fixing during development and provide support during and after deployment for the intelligent aerial robots and autonomously sustainable ecosystems. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites and provide support during deployment

  • Hands on experience design, build, and repair physical hardware specially drone/aircraft

  • Test software/hardware integration (drone and robotic system technology)

  • Troubleshoot software/hardware robotic system testing and deployment based on product requirement

  • Provide feedback from customer deployment experience to hardware/software developers to enhance our products/solutions

  • Solid communication with cross team and customers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master degree or higher in robotics, aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering, hardware engineering, or other engineering disciplines

  • 3+ years of work experience in Hardware and Software for drone system design and troubleshooting

  • Experience with electrical system sensors/camera, mechanical design for drones for UAVs or aerial products or similar aircraft product

  • Experience with product hardware/software deployment and troubleshooting on the customer sites

  • Experience with ROS and robotic system, software versioning such as git, software troubleshooting such as log analysis, etc

  • Experience hardware design tool such as CAD, Solid works, Soldering, etc

  • Self-motivated person who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience in programming/scripting languages (C++, python, C, ROS, bash), operating system such as Ubuntu/Linux/Windows System

  • Experience in safety pilot for aerial robots

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Worked closely with operation field engineer during deployment and continuous operation

  • Experience at a fast-growing startup
