Handshake is looking for an Accounting Manager to own revenue and month end close processes. You are a hands-on individual who enjoys digging into details, problem-solving and have the ability to prioritize work. With your background and past experience, you have the ability to not only identify areas of improvement but also take the initiative to establish and implement those improvements. With our recently implemented ERP system, NetSuite, you will have the opportunity to define processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, internal controls and reporting. You are building not for today, but for next 12-24 months. This role reports to the Controller.

Your Role

  • Manage month end processes, prepare/review journal entries, account reconciliations and monthly close package and analyses
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Ongoing process improvements
  • Develop internal controls: Enforce proper authorization and accurate recording of all transactions; study and improve business processes for AP, AR, payroll, data integrity, contract management, etc.; safeguard all assets (cash, investments, fixed assets, etc.)
  • Tax filings: Assist with filing of all required tax returns and other statutory filings

Your Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 
  • Revenue recognition experience is required
  • Full-cycle accounting experience
  • Advanced user of Excel 
  • Netsuite experience
