Seeking a driven, open-minded, and technically strong individual who is passionate about accounting operations and driving process improvements. You are a critical thinker, highly organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You have strong knowledge of accounting standards and have the ability to manage and work with various cross-functional teams. You will support the monthly close process and assist with financial reporting requirements.

What You Get To Do Every Day

  • Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting including month-end and quarter-end close journal entries and reconciliations, quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX/404 audits
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls as it pertains to operating expenses
  • Lead a team of accountants in their daily responsibilities, perform review of their work, and invest in their growth
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, Engineering, Product, IT, and other business partners to understand and advise on transactions and the related accounting impact
  • Support the preparation of SEC footnotes and disclosures through detailed review and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Drive process improvements and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations
  • Develop and prepare internal management reporting documents to support company decision making and analysis
  • Conduct research and summarize results accurately and independently on new accounting standards and accounting for non-standard transactions 
  • Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business expands
  • Assist in various ongoing and ad-hoc projects or initiatives

What You Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA (active status) preferred
  • 6+ years relevant accounting experience, preferably public accounting experience at a large firm and have  managed the close in a high growth environment 
  • 2+ years experience in managing and developing staff
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and develop others, and motivate teams to produce quality work with tight timeframes 
  • Excellent communication, collaborative skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent time management, problem solving, organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, efficient, and self-motivated with the ability to recommend and implement process improvements
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks that adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Knowledge of SOX 404 and implementation of internal controls
  • Experience with NetSuite, Concur, and/or Blackline is desirable
