Plaid’s Finance team plays a critical role in intelligently managing our risks and implementing the proper long-term business strategy. You'll be responsible for GL functions including balance sheet reconciliations, consolidations, process improvements and policy development and documentation. You will have the chance to serve as a key contributor to a high growth environment and strengthen your understanding of operational accounting processes. The ideal candidate for this role will develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to keep the business ahead of emerging accounting issues.

What Excites You

• Perform month end close activities, including preparation and review of general ledger entries
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for journal entries
• Prepare the monthly and quarterly flux analyses for key balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Assist in implementing improvement in accounting processes, controls, and systems
• Manage full cycle accounts payable, including ensuring all invoices are coded to the correct general ledger accounts and timely payment of all invoices in accordance with vendor terms
• Maintain accurate foreign exchange rates in accounting systems to support proper consolidation and valuation
• Analyze and facilitate intercompany transactions between the subsidiaries and ensure proper expense allocation and elimination
• Provide support for financial statement audits and tax filings
• Provide ongoing support to business partners

What Excites Us

• 5+ years of experience, public accounting a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Knowledge and experience of intercompany accounting, consolidations, and eliminations
• Self-starter with outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage time effectively under tight deadlines and take ownership of work product
• Experience working in a high-growth environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with NetSuite
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
