ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PAX Labs is looking for an ambitious and energetic Accounts Payable Lead who will play a key role on the Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this role will play a large part as a key collaborator in all procure-to-pay procedures across the organization. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill sets while also focusing on improving current processes.
- Manage all day-to-day accounts payable functions and provide leadership to offshore AP team
- Review and approve AP transactions
- Review weekly AP batches that consist of checks, wires and ACH prior to payments being released
- Manage monthly accounts payable close process, including accrual journal entries and account reconciliations and analysis
- Monitor AP email Inbox and respond/resolve urgent issues and requests
- Monitor and review AP Aging Report and resolve any past due invoices
- Direct and supervise Form 1099 processing
- Assist in external audits related to AP activities
- Establish best practices related to procure-to-pay workflow and enforce AP policies and procedures
- Partner with various business partners to improve and streamline processes
- Research and resolve accounting inquiries
- Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and other tasks as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent is required
- A Minimum of 5+ years experience in Accounts Payable management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP preferred
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects to timely completion
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, organization and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges
- Resourceful and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
