This role leading the Accounts Payable team will be an integral part of the Blend finance team. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates excellence in customer service, strong clerical skills, with an attention to detail, and has a strong track record building teams and processes.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Manage and perform full cycle accounts payable processing at scale: invoice data capture, coding with correct account and cost center information, approving invoices, and posting payments 
  • Own vendor relationship management including resolving issues, payment discrepancies, issuance of 1099’s, etc.
  • Ensure all vendors are paid per contractual terms and resolve payment issues in a timely manner
  • Manage month end A/P and accrual process
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Assist the Accounting team in year-end financial audits
  • Manage Blend’s travel & expense policy, including its corporate travel and credit card program
  • Audit employee expense reports for accuracy, approvals, and documentation
  • Lead various A/P automation projects and assess new tools; continuously assess need and opportunity to create operational efficiency and scalability

Who you are:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines is required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail oriented
  • NetSuite, Expensify experience preferred
  • Experience managing system implementations
