Acquisitions Associate
Why Divvy?
At Divvy Homes, we're building an on-ramp to homeownership – one that's more flexible, more affordable, and an all-around better fit for today’s American family – and it’s working.
In this role, you’ll help run our front line home-buying efforts -- scrubbing down dozens of home listings per week to determine our purchase price, while working closely with our customers and agent partners. Our north star: provide a differentiated, trust-building home buying experience by turning inbound leads into homebuyers.
The process is fast-paced, emotionally charged, and incredibly rewarding. Our close rate is high because we run a tight process, have well-defined rulesets, and turn our customers into cash-buyers who can close quickly.
Location: Remote, Denver, or San Francisco
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the quality/eligibility of every home we purchase
- Extend $5M+ of offers to buy homes and acquire each home at a viable price point
- Speak with dozens of agents and/or homebuyers
- Ensure our agent partners are informed and well-equipped to win every deal
- Work cross-functionally with underwriting/sales/marketing to improve the customer experience
- Contribute to metro-specific intelligence building and pricing strategies
You’re excited about this opportunity because…
- You care about homeownership. You’re eager to be on the front-line purchasing hundreds of homes per month.
- You're detail-oriented. You love sleuthing house listing details to find the real story about a home.
- You have exemplary phone, listening, and writing skills. You’ll be speaking to agents and homebuyers every day.
- You are a self-motivated, rapid learner. The team is constantly evolving and we’re always looking for ways to improve.
- You are a strong leader and team player. You’ll be working with a close-knit team of 4 people, driving our home-buying strategy in key markets (Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas)
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of work experience in a relevant field preferred (real estate, sales, finance, business, or other quantitative fields)
- Ability to work weekends and have some late nights in the Spring/Summer. That means volume is spiking... good problems to have!
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Highly amicable and conversational nature
- Robust familiarity with cloud-based tools (Google, CRMs, Slack, and other modern collaboration tools)
- Real estate license(s) are very useful but not required. Market-specific experience is not required.
**Opt-in hybrid-remote (i.e. you can work from Denver, San Francisco, OR remote domestically in the US)
