Wish is looking for a full-time Associate General Ledger Accountant (“Accountant”) who will work closely with the Senior GL Accountant. The Accountant will prepare journal entries, assist with the completion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, and other ad hoc projects for the Senior GL accountant and Management. The GL Accountant will report directly to the Senior GL Accountant.
What you'll be doing:
Responsible for month-end journal entries for Cash Receipts and Disbursements, Fixed Assets, Interest Income and Expense, associated with the Company’s US Entity and Foreign Entities.
Assist with performing balance sheet reconciliations for designated accounts.
Coordinate timely meetings with department heads or owners that will assist with the timely closeout of month-end, quarter-end, and the associated reconciliations and documentation.
Assist in the preparation of schedules and respond to inquiries and request for support from management or external auditors in conjunction with the Company’s financial audit.
Assist with Ad Hoc monthly projects.
BA/BS/Master’s in Accounting or equivalent, CPA preferred but is not required.
1-year minimum accounting experience is preferred.
Understanding of US GAAP and concepts associated with accruals, deferrals, capitalization, and overall recognition of expenses.
Experience with NetSuite, or other ERP systems is preferred.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on exceptional excel knowledge.
Self-starter with ability thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Demonstrates high degree of accuracy.
