CircleUp is seeking an Associate on the IR & BD team. CircleUp is a technology-driven investment firm that leverages Helio, a proprietary predictive analytics platform, to source, evaluate, invest, and add value to fast-growing consumer & retail companies. CircleUp is bringing the data-driven revolution that occurred in the public markets to the private markets, starting with consumer & retail. CircleUp has a series of fund vehicles built on top of our core technology platform - CircleUp Growth Partners, CircleUp Credit Advisors and the Systematic Equity Fund. Our current LPs include world class institutional investors (pensions, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, family offices). The Associate will report to the Managing Director of BD&IR and work closely with all client-facing team members.

We have pioneered a unique approach to Consumer investing by leveraging a world-class team of over 20 data scientists and engineers to build Helio, a powerful data science platform that tracks and makes actionable predictions on 1M+ companies. We take a quantamental approach to the private markets and use Helio to enhance investment sourcing, evaluation, and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong knowledge of the firm’s strategies, investment approach and operational functions to effectively respond to prospective and existing investor requests
  • Own and manage a process-driven sales funnel throughout the fundraising processMaintain tracking system and data base of investors
  • Assist with onboarding of new clients including project management of DDQs
  • Responsible for all investor reporting and coordination of the annual investor meeting 
  • Lead coordination across teams to ensure proper execution of key deliverables
  • Actively participate in investment product development to deliver on LP demands
  • Collaborate with investing and technical teams to iterate on products
  • Develop agendas for client facing meetings, onsites, and trips/roadshows

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 yrs experience in investor relations or project management functions
  • Experience working with setting up new Salesforce instances
  • Quantitatively and qualitatively adept; strong analytical and writing skills
  • Ability to work and communicate with a wide variety of internal and external constituents
  • Strong ownership and ability to run and manage processes
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented; organized, proactive, adaptive
  • Experience running a sales funnel and deep interest in being data driven 
  • Passion to build something new and innovativeHave the ability to distill complex concepts into simple explanations
