Job Description

The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for analyzing revenue data and preparing associated journal entries. The individual will be part of a growing accounting and finance team, and will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a growth and success-oriented environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for month-end journal entries for Revenue, Cash Receipts and Accounts Receivable by compiling and analyzing relevant data.
  • Work with various team to streamline and automate processes
  • Assist with performing balance sheet reconciliations, maintain supporting schedules for various entities and accounts, and assist with discrepancy resolutions.
  • Coordinate meetings with department heads or owners regarding process improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules and respond to inquiries and request for support from management or external auditors in conjunction with the Company’s financial audit.
  • Assist with Ad Hoc monthly projects.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS/Master’s in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 year minimum accounting experience
  • Understanding of US GAAP and concepts relating to cash, revenue and general accounting principles
  • Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, or other ERP system is preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on exceptional excel knowledge, and comfortable with large volumes of data
  • Self-starter with ability thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent research & analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, the ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks
  • Demonstrates high degree of accuracy
