The Finance Operations Manager will act as the expert and owner of all Finance/Accounting systems and their associated business processes. This role will provide primary or supporting administration over all internal and third-party finance systems. The Finance Operations manager will ensure proper governance exists over all Finance systems and the data therein. The Finance Operations Manager will also help manage and improve the business processes supported by Finance’s systems. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide or support administration over all internal and external Finance systems including, but not limited to Netsuite, Workday Payroll, Expensify, and Adaptive Insights
  • Manage the architecture of Finance systems and the business processes necessary to operate efficiently within this structure
  • Understand the business requirements for Finance systems as a whole and each of the subsystems therein
  • Provide governance over all Finance systems and ensure data integrity within all systems within or supporting Finance Operations
  • Assist in the management, creation and improvement of business processes necessary for Finance to operate and scale efficiently, while maintaining proper controls and governance
  • Lead or assist in the implementation or upgrade of all Finance systems
  • Be the internal expert on all Finance business processes and systems
  • Act as the primary Finance liaison with Product, HR, Legal, Sales Ops, IT, and other business stakeholders relating to Finance systems including enhancements, potential changes, future product releases, and bugs or system issues
  • Ensure proper documentation exists surrounding Finance systems and associated business process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a field relevant to the position’s requirements
  • 6+ years’ experience in Accounting/Finance
  • Understanding of complex business processes, specifically in accounting and finance
  • Detailed understanding of common Finance and Accounting systems such as accounting software, accounts payable and procurement systems, planning and forecasting tools, reporting and consolidation systems, etc
  • Experience implementing and managing significant Finance systems
  • Strong conceptual understanding and ability to clearly and concisely document complex workflows in a simple, elegant manner
  • Strong personality, able to work with, challenge and convince key stakeholders, driving to outcomes, with a determined focus to get things done
  • CPA or Master’s Degree a strong plus
