About the role
The Financial Reporting Senior Manager will be responsible for preparation and distribution of various internal financial statements to management, external reporting, assist with the maintenance of the Company’s general ledger, and ensure that all transactions and documentation complies with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
What you'll do:
- Manage the preparation and distribution of external and internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.
- Manage the preparation of various sections in SEC filings such as the 10Ks, 10Qs, 8Ks, private placement memorandums or S-1’s.
- Assist with managing the monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.
- Coordinate the Company's annual audit with the independent auditors.
- Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.
- Coordinate, develop, update and maintain written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
- Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP compliance.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA Required and Big 4 Accounting or similar experience
- At least 5 years of corporate experience with SEC disclosure and reporting requirements.
- Strong technical U.S. GAAP accounting knowledge and technical accounting ability
- Detail-oriented and can spot errors and discrepancies in financial data quickly and accurately
- Excellent communication skills, particularly written, as a large portion of this job involves developing reports and writing technical papers
- Ability to manage many different priorities at once
- Experience with SOX 404 compliance
- Knowledge of best practices in internal controls
- ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Netsuite knowledge preferred
- Experience with financial reporting software such as Workiva
