Addepar is looking for an FP&A Director to lead a team to establish and improve budgeting, monitoring, and forecasting processes. This team will work with leadership cross-functionally to translate Addepar’s long-term strategic plan into action by creating a robust budget, establishing reliable projections for ARR, P&L modeling and measuring key SaaS metrics. The FP&A Director will collaborate with business partners to drive strategic projects and long-range planning, forecast revenue and operating costs, and support financial review meetings and other ad hoc projects.

As an FP&A Director, you will:

  • Lead and drive Financial Planning and Analysis for a SaaS business; including forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial modeling
  • Lead FP&A support of the executive team and & build relationships senior business leaders
  • Build key CFO communication presentations for the Board, QBRs, and all-hands
  • Own monthly processes to monitor progress against goals and evaluate budget variances to ensure a clear understanding of factors influencing our financial position and key metrics
  • Collaborate with the Controllership and Sales Ops team to establish proper revenue targets and implementation of sales compensation plans
  • Develop robust revenue forecasting methodology using inputs from Product, Sales, Marketing and Partnerships
  • Implement and manage financial planning software and other financial systems
  • Assess the financial viability of new initiatives and design KPIs to understand their success
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports vs. plan and forecast.
  • Bring best practices to develop, implement, and manage policies and processes that scale our financial operations
  • Participate actively in financial due diligence process as necessary
  • Work closely with accounting and other departments to drive the process, data collection and reporting across the organization

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 2-4 years experience working in a SaaS business
  • 1-3 years of progressive and hands-on experience as a player-coach leading FP&A  
  • Consultative tone and strong influencing and analysis skills 
  • Modeling skills for SaaS P&L/Bal Sheet/Cash Flow 
  • Expert proficiency in financial modeling and analyzing complex and large data sets
  • Experience budgeting for SaaS businesses
  • Outstanding presentation and strong communication and analytical skills
  • Track-record of collaborating with cross-functional partners to lead transformation and growth
  • Excellent proficiency with accounting and corporate finance including topics such as billing, revenue recognition, fx, capitalization, accruals, amortization, and multinational entity consolidation
  • Experience with ERP (NetSuite & SFDC) and corporate financial planning tools (Google Sheets)
