About The Role

We’re looking for a Go-to-Market, or Sales & Marketing, Strategic Finance Partner at Rippling. The role is to be based in San Francisco, California with some flexibility on location for the right talent. The role will report directly to the CFO with a dotted line into the Head of Sales and CMO. This is a role with high levels of executive visibility as sales and marketing are a key investment area for the company. Responsibilities will include ownership of recurring meetings with S&M, analysis of new lines of business, performance tracking against plan, and management of costs across both functions. There will be an emphasis on drawing insights from KPIs already being tracked and leading initiatives to further enhance the go-to-market strategy of the company. Ad-hoc strategic projects working directly with Rippling leadership will also be assigned.

What You'll Do: 

  • Support the go-to-market teams within Sales & Marketing in quarterly and annual strategic and financial planning discussions.  This requires close coordination with key executives and presenting to the CEO, COO, and CFO.

  • Support Rippling in the launch of new product lines through go-to-market modeling and ad hoc analysis required to support new sales and marketing initiatives.  

  • Lead the buildout of additional models and dashboards to track S&M progress on a weekly and monthly basis.  Share insights with key executives across the company.

  • Drive the roadmap for future sales finance initiatives including enhancements to the internal billings system, strategic initiatives to enhance sales growth and de-risk the plan, as well as provide greater sales pipeline visibility.  

  • Lead analysis of monthly bookings and revenue performance and partner with FP&A and Accounting to coordinate monthly close materials. 

  • Drive operational efficiencies at Rippling by spearheading system implementations and owning process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field, MBA or equivalent preferred 

  • SaaS industry experience in a high-growth startup or technology company preferred 

  • Strong financial modeling and analysis experience with the ability to simplify complex topics

  • Minimum 8 years of finance experience with a focus on S&M business partnering

  • Relevant experience could be operating roles at startups or large tech companies, investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, or corporate planning and FP&A

  • Experience with SQL, Netsuite, and Salesforce is preferred 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required 

  • Passion for fast-paced entrepreneurial work environments
