We are expanding our Technical Accounting and Reporting team and looking to bring on our first Technical Accounting and Reporting Senior Analyst who will play a significant role in supporting the establishment of a SOX compliant accounting and reporting foundation. This position will be tasked with taking on a leading role in our financial reporting as well as the accounting for certain technical/non routine areas.  In keeping with Reddit values, the successful leader in this role is someone who operates with an open mindset and “values the human” in all interactions. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity, completeness and accuracy of results as reported while working cross functionally as a valuable member contributing to the Company’s maturation process. This position reports to the Head of Technical Accounting and Reporting. 

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare our quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes, including 701 investor financial statements and other internal and external reporting materials
• Prepare the monthly and quarterly equity accounting (SBC, BSM variables, modification of awards, etc.)
• Monitor new and emerging accounting pronouncements, assist in the assessment of the impact and the implementation efforts of such pronouncements
• Research and document positions on significant or non-routine accounting matters 
• Assist in developing and refining accounting policies as well as initial internal control/SOX framework
• Provide advisory support to finance as well as our business partners on new initiatives and complex transactions as well as compliance with accounting policies
• Assist with interfacing with the Company’s external auditors on audit requests for financial reporting and key technical areas
• Establish effective relationships and work cross-functionally across the organization
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies for areas of responsibility
• Participate in special projects, analysis and reporting as required by management

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in the advertising technology/media industry; 3+ years of public accounting required and 1+ years of public company experience in a similar role preferred
• CPA strongly preferred (Active or Inactive)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• Knowledge of GAAP & SEC reporting requirements
• Experience with compilation or review of financial statements and footnotes
• Experience implementing or evaluating new accounting policies, procedures and controls
• Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
• Positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
