We are looking for an Accounts Payable Manager who will be a key player and is genuinely excited about driving and effectively scaling Reddit’s business to the next level. You will be responsible for performing all aspects of accounts payable, including but not limited to expense reimbursements and P-card expenses. This position will provide full-cycle accounts payable support while applying general accounting knowledge and performing tasks to support the current operations and growth of our organization. How You’ll Have Impact:

Reddit’s mission is to bring community and belonging to everyone in the world, and you will be pivotal in making that happen. You will be instrumental in scaling our AP team and processes, optimizing a new procurement system, and ensuring our team’s successful collaboration across the business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for leading the accounts payable function in compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Effectively identify, recommend, and implement scalable process optimization, resource efficiency and automation opportunities in a global environment
  • Act as point of escalation for accounts payable and business process owners to ensure timely remediation of issues
  • Partner with treasury to plan and execute cash management needs
  • Manage and develop team members to meet key metrics such as on-time and accurate invoice processing and to plan and execute improvement projects
  • Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLA’s with a focus on providing the highest quality service
  • Participate in the implementation of any Procure to Pay Solutions and/or System Upgrades and develop new processes and procedures to address changes 
  • Oversee vendor onboarding and maintain the integrity of vendor files and documents, such as W-9’s, to ensure compliant, complete, and accurate information
  • Collaborate closely with F&A for an efficient close process and to produce accurate financial reporting
  • Ensure timeliness of annual vendor 1099’s and other tax-related filings
  • Lead the team in implementing internal control procedures (SOX)
  • Work closely with external auditors during audit by preparing requested information and addressing auditor inquiries
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Participate in special projects, analysis and ad-hoc tasks as required by management

Who You Might Be:

  • 9+ years of progressive accounts payable and procurement experience in a high growth environment; ideally, a public accounting/private industry mix
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Thorough understanding of Procure to Pay operational concepts in a global environment
  • Experience with Procure to Pay software implementation and ERP enhancements
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP
  • Possess excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Experience designing and implementing new policies and procedures with proven ability to drive process and system improvements in a global environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Able to work under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
  • Positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Team player, strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, dependability, and, last but not least, a good sense of humor
