Manager of Finance - Corporate

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Manager of Finance - Corporate to join our Strategic Finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance. You will have a highly visible role engaging with executives and senior leaders. Expectations also include working cross-functionally and establishing/improving processes to enable Benchling’s continued hyper-growth.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports and executive dashboards
- Analyze financial results, understand key trends, assess current and future business risks and opportunities, and communicate insights
- Lead the coordination of the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Maintain the long-range financial model
- Support the preparation of board reporting
- Collaborate with the Accounting team on month-end close activities, vendor trend reviews and allocations
- Responsible for the cash forecast
- Be the FP&A system representative for our forecasting and planning tool (Adaptive)
- Provide ad hoc financial modeling and analysis for special projects
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent area.
- 5+ years experience in FP&A at a high growth startup or investment banking
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and FP&A best practices
- Excellent organization skills and experience managing projects with a wide range of partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance partners
- Expert in Excel and Google Suite
- Experience with Netsuite and Adaptive
- Curious, organized and thoughtful team player
