About Rippling

Rippling is the first way for businesses to manage their HR & IT — from payroll and benefits, to employee computers and apps — all in one, modern system.

In just 90-seconds, a company can set up (or disable) an employee’s payroll, health insurance, work computer, and third-party apps, like Gmail, Microsoft Office, and Slack. It’s the only platform that truly unifies every employee system, and automates all of the administrative work.

Rippling is HQ in San Francisco and has raised $60M in Series A funding from top-tier investors, including Kleiner Perkins, Initialized, DFJ (now Threshold), and Y Combinator.

About The Role

We are looking for a highly-motivated, forward-thinking Payroll and AML Compliance Analyst to join the small, but mighty Legal & Compliance team at Rippling. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and establish our payroll and anti-money laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance operations from the ground up, including interfacing with state and local tax agencies, developing payment processes, implementing our AML policy, and other related special projects. This role will initially report to the General Counsel, with a dotted line into our Payroll team.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish operational processes and create resources relating to regulatory tax filings and payments for the Rippling payroll product
  • Research ongoing compliance requirements for the Rippling payroll product, and create processes and monitoring to ensure such requirements are well-documented and satisfied
  • Manage implementation of Rippling’s AML and OFAC policies, including trainings, monitoring, and assistance in helping to build out AML compliance in the product
  • Perform additional special projects as needed by the Legal and Compliance team
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced, office environment (paralegal experience preferred)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills: high attention to detail with excellent work product, time management, and execution
  • High aptitude for problem solving and logical reasoning: can quickly identify problems, and apply robust analytical thinking to evaluate, propose, and implement solutions
  • Robust research skills: ability to research, comprehend, and distill complex or vague topics, and enjoys turning “unknown unknowns” into answerable questions
  • Demonstrated client service orientation: able to anticipate and respond quickly to urgent situations, with sound judgement in escalating critical matters as appropriate
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: flexible, self-starting and hard-working
  • Excellent communicator both internally and externally
  • Sense of humor
  • Bachelor's Degree

Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA, Commuter, Life and Disability Benefits
  • Uncapped PTO
  • Flexible work hours
  • Generous parental leave
  • Transgender health insurance coverage
  • Competitive compensation (salary, equity)
  • Meeting-light culture
  • Onsite meals

Rippling is an equal opportunity employer.
