Job Description

Wish is looking for a Revenue Accountant who will be a key contributor in the monthly and quarterly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely results are delivered to management. This individual will be part of a growing accounting and finance team, and will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a growth and success-oriented environment. This position will report directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, assist with flux analyses, and contribute to the financial reporting process.

  • Develop and document processes, and identify opportunities for streamlining processes.

  • Assist with increasing automation to improve the speed and efficiency of the monthly revenue close.

  • Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Data Analytics, FP&A and Legal to obtain the relevant revenue-related information and to improve processes and reporting capabilities.

  • Contribute to revenue reporting analyses presented to the CFO on a monthly basis.

  • Support Wish's external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.

  • Assist with and manage various ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS/Master's in Accounting or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, revenue experience a plus.

  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and concepts relating to cash, revenue, deferred revenue and general accounting principles.

  • Experience with month-end close cycle is required.

  • Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, or other ERP system is preferred.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with emphasis on exceptional excel knowledge.

  • Ability to manipulate large datasets required.

  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment and a collaborative spirit.

  • Excellent research & analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, the ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and follow through to execute all tasks.

  • Demonstrates high degree of accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • E-commerce and/or startup experience is a plus.
