About the role:

The Revenue Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our revenue accounting (order to cash). As part of strengthening our finance and accounting team, Ginger is seeking a Revenue Manager who is passionate about adding value to the organization through strong focus on timely and accurate revenue accounting and reporting, process improvement and automation. This role will report directly to our Controller.

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and manage accounting of multiple revenue streams as well as the design, implementation and execution of scalable and effective processes for a more efficient close.
  • Review contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 in a SaaS environment.
  • Technical resource to the cross functional teams on complex customer contracts and new offerings.
  • Responsible for month end close activities for all revenue related accounts, including prepare revenue and deferred revenue analyses and related journal entries.
  • Manage accounts receivable and cash application.
  • Strengthen internal controls and enhance processes around revenue and related processes to accelerate close activities while maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Responsible for revenue to cash data reconciliations for month, quarter and year end.
  • Partner with external and internal partners to improve processes to help support future growth.
  • Evaluate revenue analytics and trends to provide visibility into key metrics.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and sales group on revenue metrics forecast and projections

About you and requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
  • 7+ years accounting experience; Big 4 experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 606 and GAAP.
  • CPA is required.
  • Experience with SaaS company.
  • Experience with D2C and healthcare industry is a plus. 
  • Experience with using NetSuite and Salesforce preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, excellent interpersonal skills that help foster and build strong relationships with a wide range of different business partners and stakeholders.
  • A determination to produce quality work product to tight reporting time frames.
  • Operates at the highest level of professionalism and personal integrity.
