We’re looking for an ambitious individual to support our revenue cycle function. This person will be instrumental in ensuring that we are reimbursed accurately and timely, reporting on the financial health of our business, working cross-functionally to implement policies and procedures that that not only improve the revenue cycle function but also improve the user experience, project managing new client billing of digital MSK programs, and helping our revenue cycle scale through automation. 

We are looking for someone with a background in healthcare provider revenue cycle - specifically, we need someone who understands the mechanics/complexity of medical claim billing and financial health KPI reporting. We are looking for an individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and own the day to day revenue cycle management responsibilities, enjoys working cross-functionally to automate and improve every detail of our revenue cycle but who also is able to report on the financial stability of our business to our leadership team. We are looking for someone who can wear multiple hats, is a self-starter and is passionate about improving the financial health of our business. Finance and accounting experience is a plus, but not required.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Support the development and growth of general claim billing practices from pre-submission to post-submission
  • Internally report on key revenue cycle metrics such as claim denials or underpayments, but also identify ways to improve and avoid these moving forward
  • Own the entire life-cycle of billing for a new client from: taking part in external calls with carriers and explaining how Hinge Health gets reimbursed, to managing new client enrollments in order to submit automated claims, monitoring initial claim processing, eventually turning new client to daily automated claims and reporting to leadership on the reimbursement of that specific new account
  • Work cross-functionally with the Engineering team to help automate billing processes and act as the intermediary between the Commercial team and the Internal tooling team 
  • Project manage the entire Revenue Cycle function in regards to setting up new payment structures as we expand our program offerings
  • Communicate cross-functionally with the Customer Success and Sales teams to ensure we are able to bill our new clients and obtain remittances
  • Own, lead and prepare for both internal and external meetings, specifically in regards to representing the Hinge Health Revenue Cycle team
  • Identify areas of improvement in the Company’s revenue cycle and develop processes and documentation for how to achieve these improvements
  • Build out weekly reporting for revenue cycle KPIs, including but not limited to: claim denials, claim write-offs, time to cash, etc.
  • 2x per month - follow-up with payers on claims outstanding over 30 days and ensure they are paid accurately and timely
  • 1x per month - submit invoices to our clients
  • Perform monthly bank and claim reconciliation
  • Troubleshoot any ad-hoc claim rejections, verify user eligibility, and re-submit claims accordingly

  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare provider revenue cycle
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Persistence when working/communicating with healthcare payers
  • Experience working cross-functionally with different teams
  • Experience project managing internal projects
  • Comfortable working with the ambiguity of a fast-paced startup
  • Efficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Experience working in a healthcare startup
  • Experience consulting healthcare providers’ revenue cycles
