This role will be an integral part of the Blend Accounting team. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, works well in collaborative teams, demonstrates strong communication skills, detail oriented, and who thrives in a rapidly growing environment.. The ideal candidate for this role will develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners and will help develop best in class processes and controls to support the growth of the business.

How you'll contribute:

  • Perform month-end close activities that include monthly revenue entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review procedures over revenue accounts
  • Perform monthly billing and collections activities
  • Perform revenue allocation calculations and set up and maintain SaaS revenue waterfalls 
  • Prepare monthly sales commission calculations
  • Partner with cross-functional groups to drive best practices and scalable revenue & commissions processes
  • Support annual external audit function
  • Perform ad hoc projects as required, including user acceptance testing for system automation projects

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) 
  • Minimum of 2 years SaaS industry experience in a revenue accounting role
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, data driven environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required to interface with all levels of the organization
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement in yourself and within your function
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to work with large sets of data
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce are a plus
