We are looking for a manager to head our growing risk and compliance team here at Snapdocs. This high impact role is an opportunity for you to architect the foundation of our compliance program while playing an instrumental part in helping build and shape our new, growing Compliance team and culture. If having this kind of visibility and impact at a fast-growth startup sounds attractive, then we should chat.

Snapdocs is an early-stage technology platform, backed by blue-chip venture capital firms like Founders Fund, SV Angels, Sequoia Capital, and YCombinator. We are tackling the $1.75 trillion U.S. mortgage market, developing modern software for an industry that still relies on fax machines and manila envelopes. We bring security, efficiency, and ultimately a better home buying experience to a paper-based pillar of the US economy.

In one of the most important roles in the company, you will be a subject matter expert and own audit and compliance at Snapdocs. You will be responsible for managing Snapdocs compliance under a variety of regulatory and internal governance programs like GLBA, SOC2, ISO 27001, CCPA, and CFPB. You will lead the implementation of internal and external audit programs to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance objectives while working cross-functionally with pretty much every department in the company. As we roll out compliance frameworks, you will be in charge of creating, delivering, and implementing compliance training programs. You will continue to manage and grow the compliance team.

Our ideal candidate will have 5 years of work experience in compliance and management. Experience in financial services or the mortgage industry is highly preferred. Knowledge of cloud technologies, and experience with certifications and standards such as SOC2, ISO 27001, GLBA, CFPB, and CCPA. You must have run or been through at least one of SOC 2, GLBA, NIST, CSF, CCPA, or ISO 27001 audit and have experience working with sensitive personal information on an application with many users. You must have strong experience in implementing privacy programs and practices. Ability to lead both directly and cross-functionally (this role will touch every piece of the organization), patience (communicating security to security novices), a bias for action (we’re a startup), presentation skills, and attention to detail (of course!), will be the foundational attributes that will set you up for success in this role.

Snapdocs’ culture is one that strongly values diversity and drive. We want to work with people of different backgrounds and different paths in life, and we trust our team members to make smart decisions. This means we value independent work as well as collaboration. We provide a slew of excellent benefits ranging from the standard stuff like a matching 401(k), 21 days PTO, work from home wellness reimbursements to the not so standard 10-year exercise window on your options! Once we’re safely back in the offices- which are in the heart of the FiDi in San Francisco and downtown Denver- we’ll still offer flexibility in deciding where, exactly, you work best.
