What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Perform monthly close activities related to inventory cost accounting, the related account reconciliations and the analysis of ending balances and other platform areas as assigned.
• Prepare monthly close intercompany accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations for custodial cash accounts, custodial liabilities and AR clearing accounts.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures over platform accounting activities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions as assigned.
• Assist with the launch of new digital assets and product impacting accounting operations.
• Partner with Data to investigate and resolve crypto / payment exceptions timely.
• Analyze data against business drivers to identify trends / issues.
• Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned.
• Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience; (public accounting/private industry mix is a plus!)
• Financial services industry such as fintech, payments and/or broker dealers preferred.
• BA/BS in Accounting and CPA.
• Month-end close experience preferred
• Impeccable organization skills and the ability to manage high volume workloads simultaneously in a fast paced, hyper growth environment.
• Technical data skills (e.g. SQL or similar), Netsuite and Google Suite products experience a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest mass amounts of data required
• Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work
• autonomously and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
