About the Team
The Crunchyroll Finance Team is made up of Accounting, Financial Planning Analysis and Business Intelligence team members based in our San Francisco, USA headquarters; Chisinau, Moldova; and Tokyo, Japan. We are a critical service center for Crunchyroll ensuring that the business foundational and company-wide initiatives are met. Our team is a diverse, technical, and fun group of tech/media fans.
The Accounting function is the backbone of Crunchyroll in ensuring that the financials are accurate, whilst acting as a support function across all departments. Our headquarters are located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll and VRV’s passionate communities.
A day in the life of our Senior Accountant:
- Lead the Accounts Receivables process and serve as the primary point of contact for our eCommerce, Consumer Products, and Licensing teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally
- Reconcile account balances and maintain general ledger
- Support month-end and year-end close process by preparing journals in assigned areas
- Review of corporate credit card accounts
- Develop and detail business processes and accounting policies that strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Support external audits (as required)
- Assist accounting team with monthly flux and trending analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting and other finance departments including FP&A and Business Intelligence is crucial to success in this position.
About You:
- 2-5+ years of professional Accounting, Finance, or related experience with Accounts Receivables, Billing, and Collections
- Firm understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a familiarity of financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions, month-end and year-end close process
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables, and experience with large datasets
- Recent and relevant experience with Netsuite Accounting ERP or comparable tools
- Problem-solver who aims to understand then take initiatives to improve the status quo
- Excellent communicator and tactful collaborator
- Seeking a fast-paced, cross-functional, and dynamic team while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
