OUR TEAM

Here, you’ll work across teams to dig deep into impactful projects that directly impact our long term goals. Scrappiness is a must, as is the ability to dive deep into the data to help the business achieve results. 

We are looking for a high performing, results oriented individual to join our Strategic Finance team. This role will have high exposure to executive leadership. The primary role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to build and maintain FP&A focused financial models that support the organization’s weekly reporting and long term growth needs. Successful candidates are excel ninjas and should be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.  

HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

    • Reporting: Develop, standardize and automate FP&A reports, metrics, and dashboards for weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting
    • Forecasting: Improve forecast accuracy and visibility by helping to create a data driven, driver based full three statement financial model that is built with robust revenue, expense and cash flow forecast assumptions   
    • Budgeting: Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and the implementation of rolling forecasting for the purposes of providing visibility into the business and establishing financial guidance targets
    • Support strategic decision-making: Drive financial results by improving gross margins with in depth analysis of Revenue and COGS drivers through coordinating with key stakeholders.

    Perform additional ad-hoc analysis to support growth strategies

    • Results Oriented: Perform quantitative deep dives to get to the core of the issue  
    • Excel Ninja: High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis. 
    • Financial processes: Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies as the business grows

 Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of FP&A experience in retail, e-commerce, marketplace, CPG, Tech, or SaaS companies. Preferable experience in a fast paced high growth environment
  • Excellent analytical, modeling and communication skills, in-depth experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work across all levels of management
  • Self starter with an ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, often changing environment
  • Genuine excitement for developing and analyzing large, complex data sets and converting them into actionable insights
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented individual who has the ability to multitask; an independent / flexible problem solver who thrives with ambiguity while maintaining strong attention to detail and speed
  • Robust knowledge of financial statements and related accounting concepts
  • Extensive experience in Excel (e.g. index, offset, arrays, etc) & Powerpoint, and prior experience with financial planning systems such as Adaptive Insights strongly preferred because candidate will help with implementation &  administration of the tool
  • Someone who has demonstrated prowess in financial and strategic planning, including core competencies in budgeting and reporting, financial modeling and analysis with an understanding of best practices across a few companies

Our San Francisco office is located in the Financial District, a quick walk from the Ferry Building, Union Square, and Salesforce Park. Convenient to BART(1 block from Montgomery Station), Muni, ferries, and cable cars. Great local restaurants, gyms, shopping, and bars nearby!
