Algolia is looking for a Senior Director FP&A to join our Finance team in San Francisco. This role is a key asset to the future growth of the company, as you will be leading the forecasting and budgeting processes, while conducting variance analysis and special projects. You will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing financial and board presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry benchmarking, acquisition analysis and other projects as requested.

Responsibilities

• Analyze trends and variances in KPIs (GAAP and non-GAAP) including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, cost of acquisition, churn, expenses and capital expenditures
• Create, update and oversee tools and models for budgeting, financial forecasting, strategic planning and plan operating, identify risks & opportunities
• Prepare regular ad-hoc reports, analysis and dashboards
• Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive cost-efficiencies and follow ROI on various programs
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide financial recommendations to senior management
• Prepare financial materials for Board of Directors and Executive Team

Requirements

• BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics. MBA preferred.
• 5+ years in Financial Planning & Analysis. Managing position is a +

• Superior analytical skills, highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Problem solver with a talent for working cross-functionally
• Strong understanding & working knowledge of accounting principles, business drivers and KPIs

• Ability to think creatively and manage projects
• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work in a hands-on management capacity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Advanced knowledge of Salesforce and BI/reporting tools such as Looker
