Given our growth, our business has become more complex and dynamic. Our Corporate Finance team is evolving its capabilities to address the increased complexity of the business while partnering with Executive leadership, guiding the business throughout this critical phase. Our goal is to provide leadership with accurate, insightful, and action-oriented guidance for decision-making.

The Corporate Finance team partners with the CEO, CFO, and senior company leaders to inform and influence decision-making through timely, accurate analytics, and data-driven business recommendations. THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Finance Team to develop scalable financial reporting and analysis, world class processes and collaborate cross functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Tax & Treasury, External Reporting and Investor Relations. In this role, you will focus on Close and Rolling Forecast monthly and quarterly financial reporting and KPIs, own P&L model, maintain reporting system and ad hoc strategic projects for the CFO, Sr. Finance Director and Investor Relations.

THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Help lead and support the Finance cycles, including monthly close and forecasting, business reviews, and long-range planning
  • Consolidate, maintain and improve the Close and Forecast model for all 3 financial statements
  • Own and drive improvements to our teams’ Enterprise Performance Management Software tool Adaptive Insights 
  • Develop complex Financial Modeling analysis that allows to clearly expose investment opportunities, risks and returns for a call to action to be made within the overall Eventbrite portfolio 
  • Prepare analysis related to P&L (Gross Margin, OPEX, Headcount) and Foreign Exchange analysis and provide supporting materials to Finance partners, Executive leaders, Board members and other leaders 

THE SKILL SET

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in Operational Finance, Investment Banking, with emphasis on analytics and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Experience in corporate finance is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with competing deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Comfortable with pulling information from a range of corporate repositories (finance, accounting, data warehouses, etc.,) and manipulating report outputs into usable forms (SQL, pivot tables)
  • Advanced Excel modeling and analytical skills a must (you should be prepared for a case study)

BONUS POINTS

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Experience in a technology publicly traded company
  • Thoughtful planning and strong engagement with key business partners and executives
  • Creative modeling of financial opportunities, ability to impose appropriate framework on nascent business opportunities
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights and Workday accounting is a plus
