Senior FP&A Analyst
About the role
We’re seeking a Financial Analyst to build out the FP&A function at Chime! As a finance team member, you will have a key role in developing and shaping our business and financial strategy and executing several high-impact cross-functional initiatives at the company. You will help create the planning and budgeting process from the ground up and work closely with the team to develop budget tracking and reporting. You will collaborate with business units to drive KPIs’ continuous improvement and develop models to track against budget requirements. We are looking for an analytical problem-solver who can break down complex problems into actionable components without losing sight of the overall strategy.
In this role, you can expect to
- Facilitate and lead month-end meetings with individual department leaders to discuss the financial performance and incorporate business insight into the rolling financial forecast
- Support the near-term, annual long-range financial planning, and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders into monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans
- Provide data-driven insights to facilitate decision making and influence strategy with financial model building, reporting, process flow, and dashboard development
- Build budget reports, variance analyses, and ROI analyses to track performance against the financial plan and identify trends and patterns in datasets
- Partner with departmental leaders to build forecasts and understand departmental priorities and investments
- Facilitate deal negotiations with vendors and partners
- Assist in the implementation of Adaptive Insights and lead the build-out of new modules/functionality
- Collaborate with business units to develop financial models to track and improve KPIs
- Develop, document, and implement guidelines to ensure reporting integrity and standardized processes
To thrive in this role, you have
- 3+ years of finance/FP&A, investment banking, business intelligence, or consulting experience
- A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field
- The ability to contribute as a team player that embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required
- Expertise in the Adaptive Planning system for both modeling and reporting; staying abreast of new functionality
- Bonus Experience: Adaptive Insights, Netsuite, Looker, SQL, Snowflake, Python, VBA
