The Sr. International Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for managing the international accounting books. The position will be responsible in coordinating monthly consolidation process, including interacting with local accountants of our international subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Review monthly reporting packages received from various entities in EMEA and APAC, reconcile inter-company transactions at the subsidiary level.

What you can tell your friends when they ask you what you do?

  • Prepare account reconciliations and independently research exceptions working with local accounting firms.
  • Assist in reviewing material fluxes in monthly financial line items at month-end
  • Provide certain reporting/analysis to company management on a monthly basis regarding costs incurred
  • Assist with coordination of local statutory year-end audits
  • Assist with development and maintenance of GL process/training guides
  • Perform global inter-company reconciliations
  • Perform analytical review of foreign entity financial statements on a monthly basis
  • Help establish and maintain policies and procedures at the local subsidiary level.
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management

What will you bring to the team?

  • 10+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience;
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures;
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
  • Experience with multinational corporations;
  • Experience with financial statement preparation for all types of legal entities;
  • Analytical; High attention to detail, organized with exceptional time-management skills; 
  • Experience in ERP systems, billing systems, and other accounting systems a plus – NetSuite experience a plus; 
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment; and
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
