About You:

We are seeking an experienced, world-class business services professional to be our Senior Payroll Analyst and join our fast-paced, collaborative team. The hired individual will be utilizing ADP Workforcenow, for approximately ~700 employees globally. The ideal candidate will perform analytical duties, such as the translation of integration warnings, in order to assist in providing solutions to issues pre-payroll transmission. The successful candidate will also create custom reports that help in-depth analysis of employee and tax set-up to ensure compliance with the Federal, State and Local agencies, advising and supporting the Team on complex transactions. The Global Payroll Manager is responsible for managing our U.S. and international payroll process. The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in identifying and implementing payroll process improvements and strong project management skills to coordinate the planning, implementation and administration of programs. In addition, this role will require to work with the payroll vendor to develop, adjust, and/or enhance payroll systems and procedures due to changes in tax laws, regulations, and our pay policies/compensation initiatives. This position will foster relationships with internal stakeholders such as Tax, Legal, Human Resources, IT, as well as with our external vendors. This position will also ensure timely and high value customer service to employees; including developing and adhering to established SLAs and ensuring research and responses are thorough.

What you'll do and how you'll make an impact:

  • Manage one experienced Payroll Specialist
  • Manage relationship with ADP Comprehensive Services for U.S. and Canada.
  • Manage and process U.S. and Canada payroll operations related to employee compensation and benefits.
  • Work with our People Operations to ensure accuracy on our 401(k), profit sharing, commuter, FSA, etc. programs.
  • Manage ADP’s tax and benefits compliance and reporting including compliance with all Federal, State and local payroll tax laws.
  • Manage PTO reporting to support PTO accrual for month end close.
  • Continuously identify and develop solutions for process efficiency to improve productivity
  • Managed the annual preparation and delivery of Form W-2s, T4’s, 3921s, etc.
  • Provide formal and ad-hoc analysis of payroll, benefits, and headcount.
  • Implement payroll processes and desktop procedures to efficiently process semi-monthly payrolls accurately and timely.
  • Partner with ADP to optimize system functionality and exploit opportunities for process automation.
  • Partner with General Accounting to ensure all payroll activities are posted to the general ledger and payroll accounts are reconciled timely and accurately. 
  • Support annual Financial Statement audit, 401k audit, Workers Comp audit, and other audits as required.
  • Manage annual preparation and delivery of accurate U.S. Form W-2s, Canadian T-4 and other compliance filings.
  • Respond to employee inquiries concerning payroll ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Support various internal and external audits, domestic and international if needed.
  • Responsible for processing the payroll related journal entries; the analysis and reconciliation of payroll liability accounts; and supporting month end close activities
  • Lead significant systems and process changes in the payroll function. Support the HR team in implementation of an HRIS system, including integration to US and international payroll systems

What you’ll need/Assets:

  • Experience: BS degree or equivalent. CPP designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience including companies with 500+ employees, International experience with Canadian, EMEA and/or APAC a plus.
  • Systems: Advanced level experience with ADP Workforce Now, PlanSource, Concur, Workday, NetSuite (or equivalent ERP) and Excel (think pivot tables and lookups).
  • Process Oriented: Strong understanding of payroll processes and best practices. Excellent management and organizational skills.
  • Technical skills: Thorough knowledge of payroll-related state, legal, tax, and compliance requirements
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to interface and establish rapport with all levels of the organization including executive team members.
  • A proactive, high energy attitude geared towards achieving continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility: Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, and data driven organization.
