The Role
Verkada seeks a high-talent Senior Operational Finance Specialist to join our team. This individual will help support growth in our AP and AR processes driven by our rapidly expanding business. As a member of our small operational finance team this role will have a wide array of responsibilities and provides a great opportunity for career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in both full cycle accounts receivable and payable processes
- Proactively manage customer accounts using established business rules/processes and provide regular reporting to management
- Process and reconcile checks, wires and credit card payments
- Timely resolution of billing inquiries with both customers and our team
- Process purchase orders and invoices with proper account coding
- Assist with weekly payment run including procure proper approvals and support
- Timely resolution of invoice and payment inquiries with both vendors and our team
- Assist in special projects such as tax filings, process improvements, and data analysis
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- High customer-orientation with great communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel Degree in business, accounting or related field a plus
- Netsuite experience a plus
