Senior Process Optimization Specialist
About the role
As a Compliance Operations Process Optimization Specialist at Chime, you’ll be joining our fast-growing compliance team by contributing to the scaling of new products and processes for Chime’s credit and debit programs. You will be expected to ‘chime in,’ exercise innovative thinking, and participate in collaborative decision making. You’ll immerse yourself by learning how current laws and regulations affect Chime and its members, as well as how Compliance Operations executes applicable laws and regulations. You’ll learn Chime’s current and upcoming products and features, support new pilots, and develop operational processes and documentation. You’ll provide support & guidance to outsourced workforce teams. You’ll work closely with internal and external risk, legal, fraud, and member services teams. The ideal candidate possesses a strong program and stakeholder management skills. They are highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and team-oriented with clear communication skills. They work autonomously and have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment.
In this role, you can expect to
- Champion operational excellence daily
- Assist in the development of compliance operations processes to support new Chime products, features, regulations, or pilots, as well as draft procedural documentation
- Provide guidance, support, and training to remote vendor teams
- Assist in the implementation of new tools and metrics capabilities
- Partner with internal cross-functional partners such as Fraud, Member Services, Analytics, and Legal teams as necessary
- Create process design or redesign strategies to ensure the correct execution of tasks, efficiencies, as well as provide support to ensure effectiveness and quality in the assigned work
- Stay up to date with Chime’s current and upcoming products and features, and applicable laws and regulations.
To thrive in this role, you have
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience required in financial services, preferably in compliance, risk management, process improvement, or continuous improvement role. ACAMS and/or CFE certifications preferred
- Comfort working with ambiguity and able to handle multiple priorities and projects
- Experience in change management and driving the adoption of tools and processes
- A self-motivated mentality with the ability to prioritize in demanding situations and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills, are detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and have great written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to operate with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
- Demonstrated experience in vendor relationships and creating process work-flows
- The ability to draft detailed procedural documentation, flow charts, and training materials
- Advanced Microsoft Office or G Suite skills (basic SQL or experience with Looker is a plus!)
