We are seeking a Sr Project Accounting Analyst to join our Finance Team. You will use your experience and knowledge of fast-growing companies to help deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders and keep pace with our fast-growing business.

This role will own the day to day process and direction of our fixed assets, inventory, and lease management. You will help stand up a world class project accounting function, complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with ad hoc projects for senior leadership. You will work closely with other finance and accounting team members as well as cross functionally with construction and engineering business partners. 

This position will be based in San Francisco, CA and will report to VP Controller.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership and the business growth with insights and analysis over engineering, construction, and procurement operations
• Prepare monthly accounting entries for various business transactions (including but not limited to fixed assets, inventory, leases)
• Support the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process and financial reporting to ensure proper cut off
• Prepare account reconciliations, maintenance and coordination of interface and reporting
• Play an active role in implementation and harmonization of corporate accounting processes for general ledger areas
• Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing systems, upgrades and automation of accounting processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
• 2+ years public accounting experience, with a CPA
• 2+ years of relevant progressive corporate accountant experience (or 4+ years in public accounting with industry focus below)
• Experience in the manufacturing, construction, or media industries
• Strong understanding of US GAAP associated with Inventory, Leases, and Fixed Assets
• Advanced excel, SQL, or other query language & understanding of the use of databases to generate faster reporting/insights a plus
• Ability to multitask, be agile and work well in a dynamic startup environment
• Detail oriented and able to effectively organize and manage multiple priorities
• Team player with strong communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Takes initiative to resolve business issues impacting the financial statements in a proactive, independent manner
