Senior Revenue Manager
- Lead the month-end revenue close by validating accruals, reviewing account reconciliations, journal entries, reserve models, and conducting fluctuation analyses
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, SOX controls and documentation;
- Work directly with our external audit team to support the audit, by providing supporting technical memos, audit schedules, evidence, and process overview;
- Implement continuous improvement plans to automate revenue accounting processes including reconciliation of data and reporting
- Data flow/system integration knowledge between internal billing system and ERP
- Manage a team of diverse individuals at multiple levels to accomplish monthly goals
- Help build the revenue team and mentor, educate, and review the work of other supporting members of the accounting team
- Work with partners to develop scalable reconciliation system(s) and process to provide complete and accurate reporting of all revenue and related transactions
- Review revenue products to ensure revenue is recognized observing ASC 606; review for potential revenue recognition issues
- Participate in quarterly revenue review with external auditors
- Prepare periodic internal revenue reports to the CFO and company
- Research and document GAAP and SEC reporting requirements and provide technical accounting research for non-routine or complex revenue transactions
- Perform periodic training to organization on revenue recognition and contract compliance
- Prior people management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
- 7+ years' experience in Accounting or Finance with a focus on revenue recognition, technical accounting, including experience in both public accounting and corporate environments
- Experience with revenue accounting under ASC 606
- Researched complex technical accounting matters and summarize conclusions
- Experience with mid-size to large ERP required, (Intacct is a plus)
- Intermediate/advanced Excel skills (e.g. complex formula & vlookups experience) and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data
