This position will support accounting compliance requirements under GAAP, SOX and all other authoritative guidance published by FASB, AICPA, SEC and the PCAOB, as well as provide direct External Audit interface for the company. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial reporting, variance analysis, monitoring integrity of system generated calculations, and interfacing with budget owners and other stakeholders to provide business solutions that comply with accounting guidelines and meet business objectives.
  • May design, modify, and/or maintain general accounting systems to provide records of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions.
  • Calculate and submit journal entries for approval.
  • Evaluate accounting issues, conduct research to identify applicable accounting guidance and support prep of position papers documenting issues, facts and conclusions for issues identified. Comprehend and be responsible for complex accounting items, including but not limited to Revenue Recognition, accounting for internally and externally developed software development, lease accounting, etc.
  • Play a key role in driving the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
  • Support monitoring and validation efforts for internal controls.
  • Provide hands on support for varying projects.
  • Directly assist with payroll accounting, including but not limited to resolution of variances to payroll reporting and payroll tax compliance

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA 
  • Must be a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment. 
  • Good organization, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills are required.
  • MS Office, Word, Advanced Excel skills, Google Suite

Preferred Experience

  • 3-5 years prior work experience in an accounting position
  • Workday system competency
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects.
  • Big 4 Experience
  • Healthcare Experience
  • Payroll Experience
  • IPO Experience
