Job Description

Wish is seeking a full-time Senior Tax Manager to join the tax reporting team in our San Francisco office. This position will be primarily responsible for managing the company’s global income tax function. The ideal candidate is passionate about Wish and e-commerce, has strong technical skills (ASC 740 and US taxation and general understanding of international taxation), and analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing and or reviewing the quarterly and annual tax provision and related footnote disclosures
  • Reviewing and handling the company's US and foreign income tax returns, including the supporting work papers
  • Managing other tax reporting requirements, like digital service tax
  • Ensuring all transfer pricing related accounting entries are recorded and in compliance with worldwide transfer pricing documentation requirements
  • Coordinating and managing all federal, state and foreign income tax related audits
  • Develop, document and maintaining SOX control
  • Researching meaningful tax matters, including staying up to date with new, proposed and final regulations, tax law updates, SEC Regulations/US GAAP changes, and providing guidance for tax compliance and tax accounting
  • Monitor compliance against income tax risk/management policies
  • Conduct special tax projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience of tax provision/compliance related experience, including some international income tax experience in SEC registered companies
  • Big 4 public accounting as well as industry experience with a CPA certificate preferred
  • Strong US and foreign income tax knowledge and hands-on experience with tax issues of large multinational companies 
  • Prior experience with Netsuite preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact successfully internally as well as with external service providers and the ability to document the positions taken
  • Proactive, transparent work style and takes ownership and responsibility for assigned duties.
  • Collaborative and team-based with skill in change management
  • Demonstrate the ability to set and accomplish goals in an organized manner with effective tools.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule as required to liaise with foreign colleagues in different time zones.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately, execute with accuracy, meet deadlines, and recognize when to call out issues
  • Provide outstanding client service to the finance department and business through timely and accurate responses
