Description

 

What will you do?

  1. Review significant sales contracts and summarize key terms and revenue recognition implications in our contract review template;
  2. Ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with the company’s policy and revenue recognition accounting standard ASC 606;
  3. Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, sales, sales operations and professional services relative to contract negotiations to provide guidance on technical accounting or issues around revenue recognition;
  4. Prepare the SSP methodology and testing;
  5. Perform month-end close tasks associated with revenue recognition, including the review of deferred revenue reconciliations, validating deferred revenue, and the posting of monthly revenue journal entries, as required;
  6. Coordinate the preparation of schedules and reports in support of internal management and external audit ensuring that all revenue deliverables are met.

What skills and knowledge you should bring?

  1. BA in Accounting with 3+ years of revenue accounting experience
  2. Demonstrated technical knowledge and thorough understanding of GAAP around revenue recognition under ASC 606
  3. Must be a self-starter and team player and able to work in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment
  4. Experience with monthly and quarterly close activities, account reconciliations, problem resolution, audit schedule preparation and working with external auditors
  5. Big 4 public accounting experience and CPA preferred
  1. Rigorous devotion to detail and organization, while remaining strategic and flexible
  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong customer service approach
  3. Must be self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks within minimal supervision
  4. Excellent organization skills with multi-tasking abilities
  5. Extensive knowledge of MS office skills, specifically MS Excel
  6. Working knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce.com is a plus
